== PRE-CRISIS CONTINUITY ==SHOWCASE #34 - #36 (1961)
His first appearance(s) as the SILVER AGE ATOM!
THE ATOM (1962)
Much like other Silver Age comics, it's silly goofy stuff. The series later combines with Hawkman's book to become "THE ATOM AND HAWKMAN" past issue #38. First appearances of his rogues, such as Chronos and Floronic Man.
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #14 (1960)
The Atom's introduction into the Justice League, where he remains for many years.
DETECTIVE COMICS #368, #432, #489 (1937)
Ray appears in a few backup stories here.
THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #53, #55, #77, #115 (1955)
Fun team ups with The Atom and other heroes! #115 is noteworthy to me, because of how absurd it is!
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: THE WEDDING OF THE ATOM AND JEAN LORING (1977)
Pretty important set of stories collected in this book, leading up to his wedding to Jean.
DC COMICS PRESENTS #15 (1979)
A Superman/Atom team up!
ACTION COMICS (1938)
#425, #427, #430, #433, #435, #438 - #439, #442, #447- #448, #453, #454, #487, #489, #513 - #516, #521, #522 - #524, #530 - #533
In Action Comics, Ray had a run of backup stories! These are my Atom stories favorite of this age.
SWORD OF THE ATOM (1983)
Probably his only noteworthy story! The events in this story are very important for his character from then on.
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #225 - #227 (1960)
A small arc that Ray takes part in, though technically he's supposed to be in the jungle for good by this time.
SWORD OF THE ATOM SPECIAL #1 - #3 (1984)
3 special issues set during Ray's time in the jungle!

== POST-CRISIS CONTINUITY ==
(which doesn't really change a lot)
POWER OF THE ATOM (1988)
This series is based off of the events from "SWORD OF THE ATOM." It has a fun supporting cast and it features a few team ups!
*SUICIDE SQUAD (1987) #44 - #62
A conclusion of Ray's story from "POWER OF THE ATOM", and introduces the brief 3rd Atom, Adam Cray.
THE ATOM SPECIAL #1 (1993), #2 (1995)
2 special issues, with the first taking place after the events of "SUICIDE SQUAD," and the second taking place after the events of DC's "ZERO HOUR" event.
TEEN TITANS VOL. 2 (1996 - 1998)
Deaged to age 17 from the events of "ZERO HOUR," Ray joins and leads a new team of Teen Titans!
JLA #27, #42, #54 - 58, #68 - #76, #77, #94 - #99, (1997)
Fun little supporting roles in the JLA's adventures! Especially with the "OBSIDIAN AGE" arc (#68 - #76).
JSA #54 (1999)
Cute little JLA/JSA Thanksgiving celebration.
JLA/JSA: VIRTUE AND VICE (2002)
Good story, what else can you say about it?
JLA/AVENGERS (2003)
It's the JLA and The Avengers! 'Nuff said
HAWKMAN #8 - #12, #20 - #21, #32 (2002)
Fun little team ups with his best friend!
LEGENDS OF THE DC UNIVERSE #40 - #42 (1999)
A two-issued story about Ray, Chronos, and Snapper Carr.
IDENTITY CRISIS (2004)
A very important story for him. Not my favorite at all, but if you want to learn his history, then read it if you must... (TW SA mentions)
COUNTDOWN #18 - #1 (2007)
Based off of the events of "IDENTITY CRISIS," this story follows where he's been since then. The first two issues (#18/#17, they go backwards, like a countdown) are really all you need to read. The other issues are meh.
THE BLACKEST NIGHT EVENT (2009)
BLACKEST NIGHT is a really fun event that Ray takes part in! He has a lot of cool moments and becomes an Indigo Lantern! Definitely one of my favorites.
THE ATOM AND HAWKMAN #46 (2010)
This is a new special issue that they released for the "BLACKEST NIGHT" event! A very good read and look into his character up until this point in his history. One of my favorite issues, ever.
BRIGHTEST DAY: THE ATOM SPECIAL (2010)
Little bit of a retconned backstory for Ray. Not my favorite. First part of this "NUCLEUS" story.
ADVENTURE COMICS #516/2 - #521/2 (2010)
A continuation of Ray's "NUCLEUS" story from the "BRIGHTEST DAY: THE ATOM SPECIAL."
GIANT-SIZE ATOM #1 (2011)
The conclusion to Ray's "NUCLEUS" story. There's a Hawkman teamup!

== NEW 52 CONTINUITY ==BATMAN/SUPERMAN #10, #18 - #20 (2013)
An introduction to the New 52 incarnation of THE ATOM. Previously, he had been only a scientist of S.H.A.D.E., as seen in FRANKENSTEIN, AGENT OF S.H.A.D.E. (2011).

== REBIRTH CONTINUITY ==JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: THE ATOM REBIRTH (2017)
This is Ryan's prelude story, but Ray still features in it as his mentor, establishing their relationship in Rebirth.
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA VOL. 5 #12 - #17, #24 - #29 (2017)
This may be Ryan's team, but Ray has a small arc in this new JLA series (#12 - #17). And though, he only has a few appearances, and is only mostly mentioned by name in the 2nd arc (#24 - #29), I still think it's worth noting, as this arc deals with Chronos.
HAWKMAN (2018) #5 - #6, #20 - #22, #26
He has a fun supporting role, and some cool moments in this! You should read "HAWKMAN (2018)" anyway to get an understanding of Atom's best friend! One of DC's best books in recent times.
NAOMI SEASON TWO #2 (2022)
He has a short and sweet conversation with Naomi.

== MISC CONTINUITIES ==THE NEW FRONTIER (2004)
A really good story in general, but he has a significant role in the story!!! Beautiful art by the late great Darwyn Cooke!
JUSTICE (2005)
A good out-of-continuity story that he happens to be a part of! Painted by Alex Ross.
JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE WORLD'S GREATEST HEROES (2005)
Another out-of-continuity story that he's in. Also with gorgeous art by Alex Ross. He's good at these.

== POST-CRISIS CONTINUITY ==DCU: BRAVE NEW WORLD (2006)
His first appearance! Really just a small teaser for his first solo series.
THE ALL-NEW ATOM (2006)
His first solo series! Really fun and has a lot of memorable and funny moments, including Ryan's relationship with Giganta!
BRIGHTEST DAY (2010)
Important story for Pre-Flashpoint Ryan.
THE ATOM: CONVERGENCE (2015)
A strange mini that continues Pre-Flashpoint Ryan's story. And when I say strange, I mean strange.

== REBIRTH CONTINUITY ==DC UNIVERSE: REBIRTH (2016)
A short introduction to Rebirth Ryan is included in this anthology.
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: THE ATOM REBIRTH (2017)
A good backstory for Rebirth Ryan Choi. It sets up his relationship with his mentor Ray Palmer, and his role in Ray's hero career in Rebirth continuity. It also leads into JLA Rebirth!
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA VOL. 5 (2017)
A decent team with a few notable plotlines for Ryan involving Killer Frost and Ray Palmer.
SECRETS OF SINISTER HOUSE (2019)
Ryan has a chilling short story in this horror anthology called "THE FOOTSTEPS OF OLD WORM".
DARK NIGHTS: DEATH METAL: THE LAST 52: WAR OF THE MULTIVERSES (2020)
In this anthology of stories from DARK NIGHTS: DEATH METAL, Ryan has one titled "UNSTABLE ATOMS".

A short and sweet story about him features in this anthology.
DC PRIDE 2022
He has a supporting role in THE RAY's story in this anthology.

== MISC CONTINUITY ==DC vs VAMPIRES #7 - #8
Ryan has a couple of good pep-talk moments in these two issues!
